EdenBees Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-08 · Last updated 8 October 2026 · Applies to the EdenBees game for Android

You are reading the current Terms of Use. Permanent link to this version: /terms/2026-10-08/. All versions

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and PhoxWare (“we”, “us”) about your use of EdenBees (the “Game”) and the online services behind it (together, the “Service”). Please read them. By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

In short

  • EdenBees is a free Bible-trivia game for entertainment and learning. It is not religious, legal or professional advice.
  • Coins, XP, passes, lifelines and badges are game items with no cash value. You don’t own them and can’t sell or trade them.
  • Play fair. Cheating, tampering and abusing rewards can lead to lost rewards, a suspension or a ban, and you can appeal.
  • Nothing in these Terms takes away any consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
  • How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover

The Service is provided by PhoxWare Studios, 24 ET ND. These Terms apply to the Game and the online services that support it.

Some features, such as promotions or paid features if we ever introduce them, may come with additional terms (“Additional Terms”). They will be shown where they apply and take priority over these Terms if the two conflict.

2. Changes to These Terms

Every version of these Terms has a version label shown at the top. If we make a significant change, we will ask you to review and accept the new version the next time you open the Game. For minor changes, such as fixing a typo, we may update the Terms without asking again. You can always read the current Terms in the Game under Settings → Legal & Compliance. A new version applies to your use of the Service after it is made available. If you don’t agree to a change, you can stop playing and delete your account (Settings → Privacy).

3. Who Can Use the Game

EdenBees is a general-audience game. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, or have a parent or guardian’s permission. If you are under 13, or under the minimum age for using online services in your country, please don’t use the Game. We don’t ask for your age, so parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether the Game is suitable for a child and for supervising their play. If a child has used the Game and you would like their data deleted, contact us.

4. Your Licence to Use the Game, and Our Rights

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Game on devices you own or control, for non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the Game’s features.

The Game and everything in it, including the questions and answers, artwork, sounds, themes, code and the EdenBees name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Bible text and the names and trademarks of third parties belong to their owners, and nothing in the Service gives you rights in them. We keep every right we haven’t expressly given you.

Question packs and themes that the Game downloads to your device are licensed only for use inside the Game. You may not extract, decrypt or reuse them.

5. Your Account

  • Guest first. You can start playing without an email. We create a player account linked to your device. If you play as a guest and lose, reset or replace your device, we may not be able to restore your progress. Adding a recovery email protects against this.
  • Recovery email and password (optional). If you claim your account, keep your password private and don’t share it. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
  • One device at a time. Signing in on a new device signs you out on the previous one.
  • Accurate details. Any details you give us, such as a recovery email, must be your own and correct.
  • No selling or transferring accounts. You may not sell, trade, lend or transfer your account or let someone else use it.
  • Player names. You can keep the name the Game suggests or choose your own. Names are unique and must not be offensive, impersonate anyone, contain personal information or advertise anything. We may ask you to change a name that breaks these Terms. Other players see your name only if you have opted in to that (see the Privacy Policy).
  • Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy. There is a 14-day period in which you can cancel. After that, your account and your progress and game items are permanently removed.

6. Playing the Game

  • Modes. The Game offers several modes (currently Easy, Standard and Rated). Rated games use pass cards to enter, are scored and checked by our servers, and need an internet connection. Some modes can be played offline using downloaded question packs, and their results are synced and checked when you reconnect.
  • Our records count. Our servers’ records of your scores, XP, balances and rankings are the official record. If you think one is wrong, contact us.
  • Questions and accuracy. Questions are written for entertainment and learning from publicly available information. We review them, but they may contain mistakes, and Bible translations and traditions differ, so some questions may have more than one reasonable answer. You can report a question from inside the Game. We may correct, replace or withdraw questions and, where a confirmed error affected results, may adjust them.
  • Not advice. Nothing in the Service is religious, theological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and the Service does not speak for any church or denomination.
  • Updates and your device. We release updates from time to time, and some may be required to keep playing. You are responsible for your device compatibility and for any mobile data charges.

7. Virtual Items

The Game has coins, XP, pass cards, lifeline cards, badges and similar items (“Virtual Items”).

  • You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Virtual Items inside the Game. You don’t own them.
  • Virtual Items have no cash value and can’t be redeemed for money. You may not sell, trade, gift or exchange them outside the Game.
  • Virtual Items are earned by playing, through scheduled recharges, rewarded ads, referrals and rewards we grant. They are spent as described in the Game. We may change how they are earned, spent or balanced to keep the Game fair and sustainable.
  • If Virtual Items were granted by mistake, a technical fault, cheating or an exploit, we may remove them, even if that takes a balance below zero. A negative balance can lead to a suspension (see section 11).
  • Virtual Items are lost when an account is deleted or terminated. We can’t compensate you for time spent earning them.
  • No real-money purchases. The current version of the Game has none. If we add paid features, we will publish Additional Terms covering price, taxes, refunds and cancellation before they launch. Payments would be handled by Google Play.

8. Rewarded Ads

Watching ads is optional. A reward is granted only when the ad provider confirms the ad was completed. If it isn’t confirmed (for example, because you closed it early, your connection failed, or the views appear automated or fake), we may not grant the reward or may reverse it. Ads are provided by Google, and Google’s terms apply to its services. Your ad choices are described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Referrals

You can invite friends with your referral code. Rewards depend on a genuine new install of the Game linking to your code. Only one referral counts per install. Self-referrals, fake installs and multiple accounts created to collect rewards are not allowed, and we may withhold or reverse rewards obtained that way. Please don’t spam people or share codes in a misleading way.

10. Fair Play and Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Cheat. Use bots, scripts, modified, cloned or unofficial versions of the Game, manipulate your device clock or timing, exploit bugs, claim coins or rewards you aren’t entitled to, or use several accounts or devices to farm rewards.
  • Evade sanctions. Get around a suspension or device ban, including by creating new accounts or using another device.
  • Interfere with the Service. Attack, overload or probe it, bypass its security or rate limits, or intercept or modify the network traffic between the Game and our servers.
  • Reverse engineer. Decompile, disassemble or decrypt the Game, its question packs or themes, except where the law allows it despite this clause.
  • Scrape or mine. Copy, scrape or extract questions or other content, or use any part of the Service to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
  • Misuse it commercially. Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service, or use it to send spam.
  • Abuse text fields. Put offensive, unlawful, infringing, harassing or misleading content in your player name, bug reports, appeals or other text you send us.
  • Break the law or help anyone else do any of the above.

11. Suspensions, Bans and Appeals

  • We use automated and manual checks to detect cheating and abuse. If a game is flagged, we may remove the XP, coins and related badge progress it earned.
  • We may suspend a player, ban a device, or end your access if we reasonably believe you broke these Terms or abused rewards, or if we need to protect the Service or other players. Where we can do so without helping cheaters, we will tell you why.
  • A device ban applies to the device as well as the account, so that a banned device can’t come back with a new account.
  • If you are suspended or your device is banned, you can appeal from inside the Game. The number of appeals is limited, there is a waiting period after a rejected appeal, and appeals are decided by a member of our team.
  • We may report unlawful conduct to the authorities. Deleting your account does not lift a suspension or ban.
  • You can stop using the Service at any time.

12. Your Content and Feedback

Your player name, bug reports, question reports, appeals and any feedback you send (“Your Content”) stay yours. The Game doesn’t host open user content, so Your Content is not shown publicly, apart from your player name if you opt in to leaderboard display.

You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store and copy Your Content only to run, protect, support and improve the Service. You confirm you have the right to send it, it doesn’t break the law or anyone’s rights, and it doesn’t contain other people’s personal information.

If you send us ideas or suggestions about the Game, we may use them freely and without compensation. Please don’t send unsolicited creative submissions such as stories or scripts.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on or links to third parties, including Google Play, Google’s ad and consent services, the Android platform and Microsoft Azure (which runs our infrastructure). We aren’t responsible for third parties, and their own terms and privacy policies apply to your dealings with them. Google is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to support the Game.

14. Availability and Changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Maintenance, network problems and device issues happen. We may change, suspend or stop any feature or the whole Game. If we plan to stop the Game or a major feature, we will give reasonable notice in the Game where we can.

15. Our Responsibility to You

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit. It also doesn’t affect your mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to that, the Game is a free entertainment service provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or that its questions are free of mistakes. We are not liable for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen, for loss of Virtual Items, progress or ranking, or for any business losses. Our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the six months before the event and £0, to the extent the law allows.

16. Complaints and Disputes

If you have a problem, contact us first. We aim to reply within 30 days and will try to resolve it fairly. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in the UK, you can bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live. If you live elsewhere, you can bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence and keep the mandatory consumer protections of that country.

17. International Use

Not every feature is available in every country. You are responsible for following local laws that apply to your use of the Game. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so by applicable export-control or sanctions laws.

18. General

  • These Terms, together with any Additional Terms, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. The Privacy Policy is a separate document that you accept separately.
  • If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations to a successor to the Game. You may not transfer yours without our consent.
  • We aren’t liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • Sections that by their nature should continue after the Terms end, such as intellectual property, Virtual Items, sanctions and liability, do continue.
  • If we provide these Terms in another language, the English version prevails if they differ, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

19. Intellectual Property Complaints

If you believe something in the Service infringes your rights, email bugreporting@edenbees.com with your name and contact details, a description of the work, where in the Game you found the material, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the rights owner. We will review it and may remove the material.

20. Accessibility

If a disability makes any part of the Game hard to use, tell us at the address below so that we can look for ways to help.
